ANGER
AGGRESSION
Aggression or anger is a normal, healthy emotion. It is important to understand the difference between healthy anger and unhealthy anger because it can lead to further problems.
The first step in controlling anger is knowing what causes it. The following are some of the common causes of anger:
* Lack of sleep
* Depression or anxiety
* Unrealistic standards for yourself or others
* Unfair treatment by others
* Stress from work or school
The second step in controlling anger is finding out how you can control it. There are many different ways to control your anger, including:
* Exercise - Exercise helps the body release endorphins into your system, which makes you feel better and less likely to be angry. This works best when done at least three days a week for at least 30 minutes each day.
* Meditation - Meditating allows you time away from everything that's causing you stress so that your brain can relax and calm down on its own. This works best if you practice meditation daily for at least 20 minutes each day for five days straight.
